The exact scope of resets, adaptations, and service procedures depends on the brand, model, year, and ECU configuration. Not every one of the 50 functions is available in every car.

Support for CAN-FD

CR Pro S supports the modern CAN-FD protocol, used in an increasing number of modern cars.

The manufacturer indicates support for CAN-FD in selected GM and Chrysler models from around 2020.

Support for CAN-FD increases the device's compatibility with new electronic architectures and higher bandwidth communication networks.

AutoVIN – automatic vehicle identification

The AutoVIN function allows for automatic reading of the VIN number and recognition of the vehicle in supported models.

This makes starting diagnostics faster and reduces the risk of incorrect manual model selection. If AutoVIN does not recognize a specific car, the vehicle can be selected manually.

Lifetime free updates via Wi-Fi

The manufacturer provides lifetime free software updates for CR Pro S without an annual subscription.

Updates are downloaded wirelessly via Wi-Fi and can add new vehicle models, communication protocols, and expand diagnostic functions.

It is not required to connect the device to a computer for standard software updates.
