We offer you a paint thickness gauge from the Polish company Prodig-Tech, part of the PROFESSIONAL series. This device is based on a modern 32-bit processor, which allows for fast and accurate measurements using a 12-bit converter. The gauge features an innovative design of the measuring probe, which enables spot measurements on steel and aluminum sheets. The probe is finished with a so-called ball tip, which facilitates measurements on curves. The gauge has calibration functions using thickness standards included in the set

MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT FUNCTION

The ASISTENT POMIARU® LED function suggests to the evaluator whether the car has undergone bodywork and paint repairs. When the function is activated, the gauge signals the state of the bodywork using an LED:

• LED is off – paint is correct;
• LED is flashing – second layer of paint;
• LED is continuously lit – filler or more layers of paint;

The ASSISTANT function is only meant to help interpret measurements; it cannot be the basis for a definitive answer to whether the car has had bodywork and paint repairs. Nevertheless, many people assessing cars do not really know what a given paint thickness means, which is why the above function is designed to assist in this.
