AutoVIN – automatic vehicle recognition

The AutoVIN function allows for automatic reading of the VIN and recognition of the compatible vehicle upon connecting the tester. This enables faster diagnostics and reduces the risk of incorrect manual model selection.

If AutoVIN does not recognize a given vehicle, it can be selected manually. Lack of automatic identification does not mean lack of compatibility – the function depends on the specific ECU protocol.

CAN FD and DoIP – support for modern vehicle architectures

EU Pro supports the modern CAN FD protocol, which provides higher data throughput than classic CAN and is used in newer European cars.

The device is also prepared for DoIP – Diagnostics over Internet Protocol communication, used in new electronic architectures of vehicles.

• Mercedes-Benz 38-pin – for selected models before 2003, including W202, W210, W140, W208, R170, and R129.
• Sprinter 14-pin – for selected Sprinter T1N and early NCV3 models from around 1995–2006.

BMW 20-pin, Mercedes-Benz 38-pin, and Sprinter 14-pin adapters are not included in the standard set and are sold separately.

Lifetime free updates

iCarsoft EU Pro does not require an annual subscription. The manufacturer provides lifetime free software updates without additional fees for subsequent years of use.

Updates are performed via a PC using the included TF card reader. The device does not require Wi-Fi.

Subsequent updates may expand the database of supported cars, add new protocols, and improve compatibility with additional controllers.

The range of available diagnostic, service, AutoVIN, CAN FD, and DoIP functions depends on the specific brand, model, year, engine, target market, equipment version, and the ECU controllers used.

Not all of the 9 service functions are available in every vehicle. Before purchasing for a specific car, we recommend checking compatibility based on the model, year, engine version, and VIN number.

EU Pro does not have bi-directional control / Active Test. If active component activation is required, a higher model, such as EU MAX, should be selected.

Selected older BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Sprinter models require additional 20-pin, 38-pin, or 14-pin adapters, which are not included in the standard package.

The tester does not replace the manufacturer's factory software for full online programming, firmware updates of all modules, or functions requiring access to the manufacturer's servers.
