Adapter Honda 6 pin

We offer you an OBD1 - OBD2 adapter for Honda motorcycles, equipped with a 6-pin diagnostic connector. The adapter allows connection to an OBD2 interface with a 16-pin connector.

The adapter is used for servicing selected Honda motorcycles with the appropriate 6-pin diagnostic socket. Newer models feature a red Euro 5 service connector; however, compatibility cannot be confirmed based solely on the year of manufacture.

• Verification of the electronic engine control unit and fuel injection system data.
• Identification of faults indicated by the check engine light using a compatible tester.
• Support for diagnostics in motorcycle service and for self-checking the vehicle.

The diagnostic socket may be located under the seat or behind a side cover; the exact location should be checked in the specific model's manual.

6-pin diagnostic connectors can be found in some newer generations of Honda CB, CBR, NC, CRF Africa Twin, and CMX Rebel families. These are indicative examples and not a guaranteed list of supported models: the type of connector and communication may vary depending on the year and version of the motorcycle.

Some Honda motorcycles have an older 4 PIN diagnostic socket and require a different adapter.

Compatibility condition: the shape, keying, and pin layout of the 6-pin socket must be confirmed, as well as the protocol support and specific ECU by the tester you have. The OBD2 plug itself, even in the ELM327 device, does not guarantee communication.

Wired adapter for diagnostics through the motorcycle's factory connector, without the need to modify the wiring.

A separate, compatible diagnostic tester and an application supporting the motorcycle's controller are required for operation.

The adapter itself is not a tester, does not contain diagnostic software, and does not perform protocol conversions.

The 6-pin Honda adapter, in conjunction with the appropriate interface and application, allows for:

• Viewing detailed engine and sensor parameters (live)
• Reading error codes
• Clearing error codes (e.g., check engine)
• Reading the VIN number

It works with many popular interfaces and diagnostic testers. It can work with mobile or computer devices if their interface and application support the motorcycle.

The range of reading identification information from the controller and diagnostic data depends on the software and capabilities of the specific motorcycle.

Special functions, such as adaptations, ECU programming, service procedures, or ABS diagnostics, require the appropriate tester and program; the adapter does not guarantee their availability.
