Adapter MAN 12 pin

We offer you an OBD1 - OBD 2 adapter for Man motorcycles, which is equipped with a 12-pin diagnostic connector. The adapter allows connection to an OBD2 interface with a 16-pin connector.

The adapter is a wired converter between the vehicle's diagnostic system and a compatible tester.

The adapter itself is not a diagnostic tester or a device for reading errors independently.

A compatible diagnostic interface and software supporting the specific vehicle are required for operation.

The adapter does not include software and does not provide independent conversion of communication protocols.

Depending on the vehicle's controller and the functions available in the diagnostic software, tests of actuators and selected service procedures may also be possible.

The range of functions depends on the capabilities of the tester, the version of its software, and the vehicle's equipment. The adapter itself does not expand the functionality of the diagnostic device.

Choosing a Tester and Vehicle Compatibility

Diagnostic solutions using MAN 12 PIN adapters are found in families such as Autocom CDP/CDP+, Delphi DS150E, Würth WOW!, and OPUS CDP+. However, the compatibility of a specific cable with a particular version of the tester should be verified before purchase.

Before connecting, it is necessary to confirm the 12-pin type of socket in the vehicle, the pin assignments in the adapter, the supported protocol, and the availability of the specific model and controller in the software.

Important: the compatibility of the shape of the 16-pin tester plug with the adapter socket does not automatically mean compatibility with the universal ELM327 interface. Vehicles with a different diagnostic socket, e.g., MAN 37 PIN, require the appropriate adapter.

The 12-pin MAN adapter in conjunction with the appropriate interface and application allows, for example, for:

• Viewing detailed engine and sensor parameters (live)
• Reading errors
• Clearing errors (e.g., check engine)
• Reading the VIN number

It works with many popular interfaces and diagnostic testers.
