iCarsoft BMM V2.0 is a branded diagnostic tester designed for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles. The device allows comprehensive diagnostics of all supported vehicle controllers – from the engine, transmission, ABS, and airbags to more advanced comfort, body, and electronic modules.
BMM V2.0 offers 9 of the most commonly used service functions, automatic vehicle identification via AutoVIN, support for the modern CAN FD protocol, and all 10 standard OBDII diagnostic modes.
The tester features a 4″ color TFT screen, intuitive button operation, a menu in 15 languages – including Polish – and lifetime free updates without mandatory subscriptions.
The manufacturer declares support for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles from 1996 to 2025. In vehicles equipped with a standard 16-pin OBDII connector, the tester connects directly to the car.
The standard 16-pin OBDII connector primarily covers vehicles from around 2001. In older BMWs manufactured before 2001 with a round 20-pin diagnostic connector, a optional BMW 20-pin adapter is required, sold separately.
The range of available functions depends on the specific model, year, engine version, target market, equipment, and applied controllers. If in doubt before purchase, we recommend checking compatibility by VIN number.
iCarsoft BMM V2.0 provides access not only to basic engine and emissions systems but also to many controllers specific to BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles.
Depending on the specific vehicle, the tester can support, among others:
BMM V2.0 is equipped with a set of nine popular procedures used during the routine service of BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles:
The AutoVIN function allows for automatic recognition of a compatible vehicle when the tester is connected. This enables quicker diagnostics and reduces the risk of incorrect manual model selection.
If AutoVIN does not recognize a specific vehicle, the vehicle can be selected manually. The lack of automatic VIN reading does not automatically indicate incompatibility or a malfunction of the tester – the function depends on the protocol of the specific controller.
iCarsoft BMM V2.0 supports the CAN FD – Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate protocol, used in newer generations of BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce vehicles.
This allows the tester to communicate with more modern controllers that utilize faster data transmission than classic CAN.
In addition to specialized diagnostics for BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce, the device supports the full OBDII standard in compatible vehicles.
Compatible vehicles that comply with OBDII, EOBD, JOBD, KOBD, CAN, and CAN FD standards are supported.
BMM V2.0 can also be used with selected older BMW vehicles equipped with a round 20-pin diagnostic connector. This requires the use of a dedicated iCarsoft BMW 20-pin adapter, sold separately.
The manufacturer indicates the possibility of supporting, among others, selected models and chassis:
The 20-pin adapter is not included in the standard package.
The manufacturer provides lifetime free software updates without annual subscription fees, unlocking fees, or mandatory subscriptions.
Updates are performed via a PC using the included TF card reader. A Wi-Fi connection is not required in the tester itself.
Subsequent updates may expand the database of supported vehicles, add new protocols, and improve communication with selected controllers.
The tester allows storing information about previously diagnosed vehicles and scan results.
iCarsoft BMM V2.0 supports 15 language versions:
The BMW 20-pin adapter for older vehicles is sold separately and is not included in the standard package.
The exact contents of the package may vary depending on the product batch and distribution version.
BMM V2.0 does not have bi-directional control / Active Test functions. If active component activation from the scanner is needed, BMM V3.0 or a higher model should be selected.
iCarsoft BMM V2.0 is a good solution for owners of BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce who need significantly broader diagnostics than a basic OBD2 reader. The device provides access to many vehicle controllers, reading and clearing faults, monitoring Live Data, and performing nine popular service procedures.
Support for CAN FD, AutoVIN, 15 languages including Polish, a 4″ color screen, and lifetime free updates make the tester suitable for use both in a home garage and in an independent workshop.
BMM V2.0 is a sensible choice for users who need comprehensive diagnostics for BMW / MINI / Rolls-Royce and the most important service resets but do not require active tests available in the BMM V3.0 model.
The range of available diagnostic and service functions depends on the specific vehicle, model, year, engine, target market, equipment version, and applied ECU controllers.
Not all 9 service functions must be available in every vehicle. Before purchasing for a specific car, we recommend checking compatibility based on the model, year, engine version, and VIN number.
The standard 16-pin OBDII connector is primarily used in vehicles from around 2001. Selected older BMWs require an optional 20-pin adapter, which is not included in the standard package.
BMM V2.0 does not support active tests / bi-directional control. This function is available in BMM V3.0 and higher models.
The tester does not replace the manufacturer's factory software for full online programming, firmware updates for all controllers, or functions requiring authorized access to the vehicle manufacturer's servers.
