If AutoVIN does not recognize the vehicle, manual model selection can be used. Lack of automatic identification does not automatically mean lack of compatibility.

CAN FD – support for new generations of Mercedes-Benz

MB V2.0 supports CAN FD – Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate, used by Mercedes-Benz in newer platforms since around 2020.

This allows the tester to work with modern models using the faster CAN FD bus, including selected generations W213, W223, W167, and other compatible platforms.

The actual availability of CAN FD depends on the specific vehicle architecture.

Important – MB V2.0 does not have active tests

The MB V2.0 model does not support bidirectional control / Active Test. It is therefore not intended for directly activating components such as pumps, valves, fans, or actuators through the ECU.

The standard set uses a 16-pin OBDII connector. In older Mercedes and Sprinters, optional 38-pin or 14-pin adapters may be needed.

Clearing a fault code does not remove the physical cause of the fault. If the problem persists, the error may reappear.
